Permanent Trails

The Surrey Trekkers maintain nine Permanent Trails (PTs). Each of these PTs is on our walk schedule as a group walk once in the first half of the year and once in the second half.

In addition, these walks, except for the False Creek PT, are also scheduled as Thursday evening group walks, on a rotating basis, from May to August. These evening walks start at 6:30 PM.

These PT routes can be walked at any time within the posted registration hours for each specific PT. They can also be walked for distance credit as many times as the walker wants to do them.

The registration sign-in sheets and other information are held in walk boxes at the PT host location. The boxes can be accessed by asking for the Surrey Trekker Volkssport Club walk box at the service counter of the location. Your patronage of our hosts would be appreciated.

Details as to the start point, how to get there, walk description, contact person and the registration hours are provided for each of the PTs. Just click on the walk of your choice to get the details. Descriptions of these PTs can also be found in our brochure.

The PTs maintained by the Surrey Trekkers utilize trails in major parks throughout our area. All of these walks do involve some street walking which show the diversity of housing in the area.

In the parks, waterfowl, spawning salmon, wild rabbits, squirrels and coyotes are a common site. Enjoy a coffee or other snack at Esquire’s after your walk or do a little shopping at Tilley’s for their famous line of sports clothing. They appreciate your patronage.
